We use Search Engine Optimization combined with paid advertising campaigns to significantly improve the amount of traffic to your sites. This directly translates into more impressions, more sales, or more people seeing your message.

Like any media campaign our focus on web strategy has three parts creating the message, using the free media through positive relationships, and paid advertising. First, create a unified message on your website that is targeting the correct market, selling product, offering services, developing relationships, etc.

Then, once the web site is designed properly to achieve these goals we should immediately turn our focus to increasing the number of people using it. Through positive relationships with media outlets, search engines, and other web-sites, we can dramatically increase your on-line presence. These relationships will offer constant and on going increases in the number of people that visit your website. Finally, we can use the Paid Media, through more traditional advertising, to immediately drive users to your site. These advertisements will also offer links on additional sites increasing your free media campaign.

Creating the Right Website
The right website must meet several objectives at the same time...

Present your online image. Most people get this one. Make the site pretty and in line with the rest of our marketing. Continue forwarding with our branding of colors and logos, product images, etc. Of course, give the site a domain name that works with our campaign. But, sadly most people stop here and expect the search engines and users to do the rest.

Provide Data. Like most campaigns we must ask who is the target market and how do I want them to use this site. If our ending goal is to educate them on our products and services, we need real information that our target market can use, lots of data about our products or services, and photos galore of our product being used in every setting. The number one thing users are after when using a web-site is data. For a fabric retailer it's:
How many threads does each fabric line carry?
What types of patterns work together?
Users will value your site as a resource and visit it often if it has more data.

Call to Action. In addition to data, the site should lead the customer to act. Your website should always provide a call to action. Every successful visit should lead to a sale, or a conversation with an on-line rep, or joining your mailing list.

Geting Free Media & Search Engine Optimization
Every site hoping to attract users through search engines should take special care in the design process. Every word on the page, including the names of graphics and other code tricks, that users don't see greatly affect your ratings on search engines. All search engines value each factor differently, but here are a few very important ones:

1) Domain Name

2) Page Title

3) Meta Tags (code not seen by users that describes your site to search engines)

4) Name of all graphics

5) The Alternate Text of all pictures

6) The HTML Name of each page

7) Create a Site Map (makes all pages two clicks away from the main page)

8) All the text on every page. (All flash sites, just don't cut it)

Free Media. There is some debate about the tools some people use to gain higher rankings in the search engines. We only use ones that are in-line with exactly what is most beneficial to the customer and the search engines. We don’t use spam or hidden text on a page to drive rankings. These practices schemes that might pay off with large returns initially, but will gradually cause problems as the engines ban your site. The keys to increased ratings in the search engines are:

1) All of the things listed above in optimizing your site

2) Every link you have on your site. Search engines use the links on your site to determine how important your site is.

3) Every link that links to your site. Search engines use everyone that links to your site to determine how important it is as well.

The number one thing you can do to increase your free rankings is to have a major website like Microsoft link to your site. Every reseller, vendor, client, and family member that links to your site helps tremendously.

Paid Advertising
Just like off-line, you can pay Yahoo, Goggle , and other providers to list your links to our sites. Some services provide "pay-per-click" ads that are only shown based on specific keywords entered. Other web sites can be sponsored through banner advertising that is also a very important component. Google and Yahoo offer "pay-per-click" advertisements. These ads are shown to only specific users that you select based on keywords, geographic region, and cost you are willing to pay for the click. If you want to come up first under the keyword "video production" you might have to pay as much as $3 per click. Less searched words, like "video production in South Carolina", might only cost $1 per click. The key is to be in the top 3 listings for each of your main keywords.

Paid Media has one terrific side affect that makes it essential to any plan. In addition to being on the main search listings of Google and Yahoo, these providers also give their listings to other websites willing to show advertisers. In this way your listing is on thousands of other sites - some large, some small - but all of them provide additional incoming links to your site. This significantly improves your free media listings discussed above.

At Inspired Hype, our goal is to get your message out to your clients. Let us use these techniques to take your website to the top of the search engines, and to the top of your clients rankings!
